| Rotam Announces U.S. Expansion with New Managers and Headquarters | |
Miami, FL, U.S., May, 2007 – Rotam North America, Inc., the crop protection unit of the Rotam Group, expands with new headquarters in Miami, FL and two new strategic managers, Thomas Chavez as country manager, and Mike Adams as marketing manager. Each has an extensive sales and marketing record that includes international, and share a combined 63 years in crop protection. Country Manager Thomas Chavez has held manager or director level positions in sales and marketing in both the U.S. and South America. A 1976 graduate of Fresno State University, Chavez has worked for Abbott Laboratories, DuPont, Agtrol (NuFarm), Stauffer Chemical and John Taylor Fertilizer (WECO). “Tom brings a proven track record for building and expanding effective sales and marketing organizations, including start-ups,” says Alvaro Canizares, President Rotam North America Inc. Marketing Manager Mike Adams has been active in the industry since 1975, and has gained a wealth of experience in complex agriculture environments, most recently as North American Strategic Account Manager for Syngenta’s seed division. Adams, a graduate of the University of California, Davis began his career in research and moved sales and sales management with Stauffer Chemical. He continued through the ranks in sales, marketing and product manager positions with Zeneca and Syngenta. Adams has been active in industry policy and marketing associations. “Mike brings with him strong account and retail relationships,” says Canizares. “Mike also has the talent to help identify the strategic positions necessary for the cost-effective solutions everyone looks for today.” Together with Rotam’s field sales team, both managers will support the marketing and sales efforts for current and pending registrations for end-use products. Current registrations include Abacus™ and Lucid™ abamectin miticide/insecticide, Plotter™ metsulfuron-methyl herbicide, and Toledo™ tebuconazole fungicide. Abacus™ is a Restricted Use Pesticide. |
